This course encompasses a foundational theoretical unit titled 'Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment', which will be evaluated through a written assignment.

To obtain your Level 3 certificate, it is necessary for you to also present product evidence that showcases your skills in planning, evaluating, and providing feedback on your learners' performance. To do this, you need to complete two practical sessions; one assessing vocational skills and one assessing occupational competence. Each assessment practical must involve at least 2 learners. Sessions cannot be simulated so it is important to consider the context of your assessments.

How is the course assessed?

This course encompasses a foundational theoretical unit titled 'Understanding the Principles and Practices of Assessment', which will be evaluated through several written assignments.

Your assessment evidence should originate from an actual assessment context. Simulations are not permitted for any segment of units 2 or 3 in this program.

Additionally, you are required to engage another qualified assessor to serve as an expert witness, verifying that your assessment of learners has been conducted fairly and consistently.

Upon successful completion, you will be awarded the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievment (RQF), which enables you to teach or train in a variety of settings such as further education or the workplace.

This qualification is certificated through TQUK, an OFQUAL registered awarding body. The Training Initiative is a registered TQUK centre.
